Not a sip of wine or another
Christmas. You won't be seeing loved ones, nor they you. Heat and coldness disappear.
How you feel no longer matters. Everything left along with your lifetime gathered.
You are gone from me, you
left us. The folks over there didn't know you. Just for now, through this one
long moment, I'll call them "the lucky ones."
Death is before birth, and
likewise. I never met a person that complained before their birthday. Or after
it, when they looked back on this matter. I have no complaints with the world
before living. It was what it was, and will stay that way. Death is what it
is, and the same applies. You won't dance where there's no music, or was that
song forgotten between birth and Death?
Let's make Death a friend
if birth's a miracle. Between them both we do it all. Consider them a team,
when shouts of joy turn to cries of sorrow. That sorrow is followed by a pre-birth
existence. Now, you went through pre-birth, tell me what it was like? No complaints,
right? Pre-birth is death, they are the same. Merely a continuation, after a
short life break, of time uncounted.
So what makes a person afraid
of Death? Hell, if life scares them, Death must be terrifying. For many, its
thought becomes an obsession they can't separate from their lives. No, you can't
take it with you, but you can't bring anything into this world either. Sound
familiar?
Yes, it might be a circle.
Wondering if that circle is continuous wastes what little amount of counted
time we have. Life is pre-birth and death's Brigadoon.
When you love someone who
is obviously slated for death, naturally you pray for time to slow down. Why?
Are you praying for your own life to last longer? Will Death fail in slow motion?
Listen, Death takes what it wants in its own time. Death is time, Death is life.
May those we've lost to
the absence of time, by some miracle, stumble up the stairs through the door
to birth again.
